The Training Centre “Dainava” for Civil Servants and Local Administration is founded in 1996 by The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania.

STAFF

The staff of The Training Department is able to communicate in English, Russian and Polish. They all have experience in organizing seminars and conferences.
There are 90 employees in the Maintenance and Economy Department, Medical Department, Café, Restaurant and other departments.

TREATMENT DEPARTMENT

The main objective of the treatment department:

• For Lithuanian and foreign patients to make opportunities to make better health using curative methods, prophylactic, health returning rehabilitated treatment and to propagate active rest and healthy way of life.
• Qualitative patient examination and individual treatment, maximum attention – is the main aim of the personnel of the treatment department.

We have rehabilitation treatment of patients:

• With arterial hypertension
• With ischemic heart disease:
  • Angina pectoris
  • Acute myocardial infarction
  • After myocardial revascularisation
  • After bypass
  • After primary percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty
  • After coronary stenting
  • With cardiomyopathy
  • After implantation of pasemaker
  • After surgical treatment of valvular heart diseases.

Treatment conditions offered:

The procedures in the center “Dainava” sanatorium:

• mineral water baths (mineral, pearly, carbon acid, herbal)
• hydropathy (pearly for the feet, underwater massage)

In the curative rooms, gyms:

• medical kinesitherapy (gymnastics for individuals and groups, cycle training, training with exercise machines);
• massage;
• psychotherapy;
• physiotherapy procedures (ultrasound, laser and etc.);
• electro-mud;
• “Mini” natural mud applications
• micro enemas
• inhalations with mineral water and herbal mixture.

According the co-operation agreement patients can have additional procedures in other sanatoria.

In the restaurant:

• Patients are given balanced dietary. If necessary or client wishes the individual dietary is prescribed.
• Curative herbal teas are tendered.
• Meal is prepared fat free.

Personnel:

• Patients are treated by specialists of a high qualification physical medicine and rehabilitation, consulted by doctors of a specific specialization. There is a doctor and nurse on duty for 24 hours.

Diagnosis:

• Heart and blood vessels functional power of the patient is evaluated using modern equipment (examinations, EKG, clinical and biochemical blood tests) and risk factors of heart and blood vessels sickness are determined.
